BEIJING, Mar 26: Recently, the filming wrap-up ceremony for Great Endeavors of Workers, the second season of the large-scale documentary From Xi’an to Gwadar Port co-produced by Shaanxi Zhongshan Culture Media Co., Ltd. and Pakistan Television Corporation, was grandly held at Gwadar Port, Pakistan.
Nearly 300 distinguished guests from China and Pakistan gathered at the ceremony, including Noor Ul Haq Baloch, Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority, Dadullah Yousaf, Deputy Manager of Gwadar Safe City Project, Baboo Gulab, Former Chairman of Gwadar Municipal Committee, and Yu Bo, Chairman of China Overseas Port Holding Company (Pakistan) Limited, witnessing this landmark moment that carries the profound friendship between China and Pakistan.
As a high-quality cultural masterpiece dedicated to the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic ties, the documentary is directed by renowned director Bai Zhijun. It focuses on the ordinary workers on the frontline of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) construction, capturing the touching moments of builders from both countries joining hands to pursue common dreams through the lens, and writing a glorious chapter of China-Pakistan cooperation in the new era.
Over the past year of meticulous transnational filming, the production crew traveled across many Chinese cities including Xi’an, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Xiamen, and covered the entire territory of Pakistan, with a total journey of nearly 30,000 kilometers. The crew conducted in-depth interviews with hundreds of Chinese and foreign builders, recording numerous vivid and sincere stories of struggle. After arduous preparation and on-location shooting through cross-border collaboration, the documentary has been successfully completed and fully entered the elaborate post-production stage. It is scheduled to be officially released simultaneously on multiple platforms in China, Pakistan and around the world on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic ties this year.
