BEIJING, October 13: At the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chinese Premier Li Qiang will visit Pakistan from October 14 to 17, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning announced here on Sunday.
This high-level visit will focus on strengthening bilateral ties, promoting economic cooperation, and reinforcing strategic collaboration between the two nations. Premier Li Qiang’s visit is a significant step toward fostering mutual cooperation, particularly in light of key initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which plays a pivotal role in regional connectivity and development.
In addition to attending the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Premier Li will engage in dialogues with Pakistan’s leadership to enhance partnerships in various sectors including infrastructure, energy, and trade. This visit is expected to further solidify Pakistan-China relations, which have long been celebrated as an “all-weather friendship.”
