BEIJING, July 1 : Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is all set to resume its direct passenger service between Beijing and Islamabad from Friday (July 3,2026, restoring an important air link between Pakistan and China after a temporary suspension.
The airline last operated its scheduled Beijing-Islamabad flight on 10 April 2026. The resumption of services is expected to provide much-needed convenience for students, business travelers, tourists, and families travelling between the two countries, as per sources.
Passengers from 25 cities across China will also benefit from enhanced connectivity through PIA’s commercial partnerships with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines, enabling seamless onward travel to Islamabad via Beijing.
To further enhance the travel experience, PIA has introduced an upgraded free baggage allowance of 50 kg (two pieces) in Economy Class and 60 kg (two pieces) in Executive Economy. The airline is also offering promotional fares on the Beijing-Islamabad route along with competitive through fares from connected cities across China.
Passengers are encouraged to make reservations early, as promotional fares are available on a limited number of seats.
The resumption of flights is expected to further strengthen tourism, trade, educational exchanges, and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China.
