BEIJING, Aug 14: The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing held a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day and celebrate the historic triumph in Marka-e-Haq during Operation Bunyan al-Marsous.

Deputy Head of Mission Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary hoisted the national flag, followed by the reading of congratulatory messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister.
The messages paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom struggle under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, leading to the creation of Pakistan on 14 August 1947. They also congratulated the nation on the decisive victory in Marka-e-Haq during the war imposed by India from 6–10 May 2025, and stressed unity, perseverance, and commitment to national ideals for building a progressive and prosperous Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Chaudhary extended heartfelt felicitations to the Pakistani community in China. He hailed the Marka-e-Haq victory as a testament to the courage, resilience, and professionalism of the Pakistani nation and its armed forces.
He further underlined the deep-rooted Pakistan–China friendship as a model for inter-state relations and lauded the Pakistani diaspora’s constructive role in advancing national development and strengthening bilateral ties through people-to-people exchanges.
The event concluded with patriotic songs and a video presentation on Marka-e-Haq, adding a solemn and spirited touch to the celebrations.
