Jining, Oct 1: The international media group of the 2026 Nishan Forum on World Civilizations visited Longwan Lake Art Town in Shengshuiyu Town, Jining City. Journalists from Vietnam, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea and other countries gathered by Longwan Lake to explore the town next to Nishan Holy Land and witness rural transformation powered by the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture. Located on the west bank of Longwan Lake, Longwan Lake Art Town serves as a demonstration site for cultural revitalization. It used to be an ordinary lakeside village with scattered industries and run-down empty houses.

The local government revitalized idle rural houses and built study rooms, wood workshops, academies and homestays. It also developed intangible cultural heritage experiences and farming study tours, capable of accommodating over 400 visitors. The town offers seven categories of study courses and a cultural and creative street with more than 20 shops and markets. It adopts the rural revitalization partner model to mobilize resources and has won national and provincial honors. The quiet lakeside village has turned into a cultural destination integrating study tours, creative consumption and rural homestays.
Rural renewal brings real benefits to villagers, who can work locally, sell farm products and rent out their houses for extra income. Foreign journalists visited workshops and experienced traditional crafts. Combining intangible cultural heritage, artistic creativity and rural development, Longwan Lake Art Town sets a good example of rural revitalization.
