Qingdao, July 2: The event Silk Road Links, SCO Shared Success — A Global Media Tour in Shandong: Visiting SCODA was officially launched at the Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center. This event is hosted by the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, co-organized by the SCODA Management Committee and Shandong Internet Media Group. Approximately 20 journalists from domestic and foreign media have gathered here to start on a 3-day in-depth visit. At the launching ceremony, Zhang Qiang, Deputy Director of the SCODA Service and Coordination Division, Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, and Wang Yubin, Director of General Affairs Department I of SCODA Management Committee, attended the event and delivered speeches. Haibao News, Shandong Internet Media Group, and Li Ke, Director of News Division, Publicity Department of Jiaozhou Municipal Party Committee, also participated in the event. The participants jointly watched a video showing construction achievements of SCODA and attended the flag-awarding ceremony for the media tour. On the first day of the event, the media delegation focused on the core functional platforms of the SCODA and conducted in-depth visits to the Qingdao · SCODA Pearl International Expo Center and the Shanghe Holding Group. By visiting cultural elements and featured commodities of SCO member states (such as Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia) and interviewing the operator and typical merchants of the Center, and relevant responsible persons of the Shanghe Holding Group, the participants gained an on-site experience of the breakthrough progress and vigorous momentum demonstrated by the SCODA in promoting international economic and trade cooperation, facilitating cultural exchanges, and driving regional economic development. In the next two days, the media delegation will continue to visit key sites such as the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, the SCO Economic and Trade Comprehensive Service Platform, and the Silk Road E-commerce Comprehensive Service Platform, and dig deeper into their remarkable practices in connecting the world, driving innovation, and cultivating talents.
